The Inspectorate-General, by carrying out audit and inspection activities, analyses the internal control systems and procedures and checks on legality and regularity, with a view to contributing to improving the levels of action and performance of the bodies of the Ministry which it comprises, ensuring the proper application of public money and the quality of the services provided.

The IGMTSSS inspection procedure has a specific regulation, approved by the Order No 6846/2018, 16 July.
